    The saddest phrase?

Your date of travel is in the past.

Isn't that just the saddest thing? There you are, just having returned from Florida, log onto the forum and there it is, in black and white, well, blue actually, large as life and twice as ugly! As if you really needed reminding? Haven't you been sobbing your socks off since the 'plane doors were shut? Aren't the kids begging to go back?

Surely there must be a kinder way of saying it, its rubbing salt into the wound? But unfortunately I can't think of one!

There is only one thing for it, book another trip and then watch the days go by.

    Sad, really.....[msnwink]

    I totally agree Ellie.
I am afraid I have cheated and put the date of my next holiday in, sadly not to Florida, but nevertheless something I am looking forward to all the same[msnwink]
Only other thing I can do is to book another Florida trip as well

Yes isn't it great, we havn't been back to our villa for nearly 10 months in August and we booked a month ago. I am so excited, can't wait to get on the plan as that will be the last time I cook until I return home. I can feel the heat now, can't wait.[msnsmile2][msnsmile2][msnsmile2]

I have a friend who always likes to have 2 (at least)booked holidays to look forward to

She is a huge Neil Diamond fan and 3 years ago her husband bought her tickets for his Orlando AND Miami concerts and they stayed in our villa in-between. Club class both ways!

By the way,he hates Neil Diamond!

When our holiday comes to an end and I finally close the door on my Florida home.
Get into the car to go to the airport
The drive to the airport is in silence ,if anybody speaks to me I will cry
When the doors on the plane finally close I know thats it for this trip
Within 24 hours of arriving home I am pricing flights to Florida
Thats what I do,it makes the pain easier to bear.
    I am becoming a Florida junkie,no correction
    I am a Florida junkie
Does this feeling fade in time? or is this it [?]

Totally agree Ellie! We have only been back just over a week, and having got over the depression of being home, I finally remembered it was ok, because this time we do have our plane tickets back already...Hurrah!!!
Which reminds me, I must put my new dates in, the count down might make me feel better[msnsmile2]
In the mean time I am working on a great escape for a weeks Florida fix before October... well it is worth a try[msnwink]

Barbara, I agree with everything you have said.

I hope the feeling never fades and I hope it rubs off onto the guests that stay in our villas, then we will all be Florida Junkies and book lots of holidays to Florida[msnwink][msnwink][msnwink][msnwink][msnwink][msnwink][msnwink][msnwink][msnwink]<blockquote id="quote" class="ffs">quote:Originally posted by luckylady

I know what you mean. You have waited so long for the holiday to arrive, and then in what seems a flash its at an end. You wonder where the time went. In our case a lot of the time goes in Home Depot...... as there are always things to do in the villa. And then on that last day when we are all packed up, the villa looking pristine with our holiday clutter in the cases again, we pack the car, have a last look around and have to head out to the car. I could almost cry. I feel like I am leaving behind something I care about and love so much, it really is like an emotional bond. I hate it. Chloe
