    car insurance

just received my booking details through Charter travel including Car Hire. ( Dollar)
It says ' 1 Driver No Fuel '
I assume this means we have got the Silver inclusive.
In ref. to value for money and paying for a tank of fuel would it be better to have the gold inclusive ?
How much do you have to pay towards petrol when picking the car up ?

    thanks for any info

    Hi Ramona

I would pressume that when you are returning the car you will have to make sure that it is full or to the level when you received it. Fuel is far cheaper in the US than over in the UK.
You should be able to get more info and an explanation on all the different options by clicking on the Florida Car Hire Link at the top of the page.
This should explain the difference between each of the Insurance Packages.

We do not provide customer support for Charter Travel car hire bookings but would comment that this does sound like the Silver Inclusive option and you would be required to buy fuel off Dollar on arrival at the price they have at the time.

You cannot just take the car as it is and return it full - you used to be able to do this but not any more.

In the past we've found the car hire gas prices to be about 15-20 cents a gallon more than the cheapest gas prices on the street. We've also found street prices 15-20 cents a gallon more then the cheapest aswell!

We always go for the gold option on here for car hire, and think the free tank of petrol is great. We know when we arrive at the airport that we have absolutely nothing more to pay. Great service, too.
