American school holiday dates

I going on 25 august what date does the american schools go back on?

You will find that different states have different times. Florida school children go back the first week of August, but many of the northern states will be later - some of our American owners can give exact dates.

That date will vary by school disctrict. Some of the schools start at the beginning of August, others start closer to the end of August, or beginning of September (My kids start on August 24). I would guess that most US schools will be back in session by the time you are there.

There are a few still on holiday at that time. Some British schools don't go back til 1st week in September also.

End of August is the best choice in the summer holidays

We have been at all times July and August but from the 4th week it gets dramatically quieter

We were out In Florida for all of August in 2003, and it was noticeable that by the middle of the month there were far less children around and the parks were mainly full of English tourists. Middle of August on is definately a good time to visit Florida.
