I've been told that our flight to Orlando from Manchester on 19th May is with the new planes. They were expected to start mid May. I'll be able to let you what they were like when we return.

It will be a 747-400, with full economy, premium and upper class service inline with Heathrow and Gatwick, and nothing to do with Air Atlanta!!![msnwink]

Is this a new aircraft or one Virgin don't have a use for any more on another route?

I just checked the price for Upper Class - a lot of money but cheaper than you might think for this class of service.

The Virgin website seems to indicate that the 'suite' isn't in place for MCO flights even from London. The relatively low fares on the Manchester departures suggest that it might not have been upgraded.

Manchester flights to MCO are more expensive than from London, not surprised there is nothing on the web site, suite or no suite it is definitly a mainline 747-400 from May - Honey Pie has already gone from Man and Island Lady goes next month - I know the roll out for 'suite' has been problematic though[msnwink]

Just to confirm on this one. As of May 2005 flights from MAN will be operated by Virgin Atlantic on a 747-400. All of VS 747's have now been suite configured, so no problems there and if lucky enough to be flying UC then you will have the experience of a lifetime...believe me its FAB....[msnsmile2]
