Got this from google search.....................
The seats in Sunshine Upper deck are the same seats that are in the Sunshine Economy - they have the 31" seat pitch, however there are no children under 9 (I think its 9, maybe 12), and you have 30kg luggage allowance, and later check-in.
We have flown with Travel City Direct many times and have always found the service to be good, and are flying with them in Oct.
We flew in the Sunshine First last July and thought it was excellent.
Sunshine Upperdeck is from £99 and there is an age limit - no children under 9. 31" pitch seats. And you actually sit in the bit at the top (the bubble). There are only 30 seats up there.
The Sunshine Upperdeck is pushed as being a quiet area with a bar so maybe that is why there is an age restriction
My sister-in-laws mum said that we should avoid sitting up there because that is where the bar is and it gets a bit rowdy up there but I called Travel City and they said that the bar is for the use of the people up there in the 30 seats and that no-one can get rowdy on a plane nowadays!!
Hope these quotes help??
I thought the Sunshine Upper Deck was 34"?, it says 34" on TCDs web site with 33 seats from £129.

The sunshine upper has been increased to 34" from 1st May this year (manchester), just wondered whether they are 2 seats side-by-side or 3 ?

Just checked web site and it says 34" from May 1st[msnwink]
They are a 3 and 3 configuration, etc for the first row on the left hand side, which is 2.
The seats are definitely a 34" pitch and no children over the age of 9. You don't have your own TV screens.
Sunshine first is a 50" pitch, with seats that almost recline horizontally. They are a 2 and 2 configuration with your own TV screens.
We've just booked sunshine first for next May. It was about £700 more for the 2 of us. There is a supplement of £100 per person if you only take their fly drive. You don't pay it if you're taking a package with them. It reduces to £75 if there are 4 of you.

We flew Sunshine First in Feb and the seat pitch is 50" with a good recline. The footrest flips up with an extra bit at the bottom that folds out to rest your feet on. You do have your own pull out tv but none of them were working on our flight from Manchester, so we got the hand held ones (to put on your tray of course, you don't have to hold them [msnsmile2]) The cost was £300 per person extra. It is a pleasant service, but I still say, It doesn't matter how much room you have, it is still uncomfortable on that journey home.
