    What to pack?

I know this question has probably been asked before but as Orlando virgins(bless)Pete and me having long discussions about we are going to pack. Pete wants to know about dress code for restaurants. We are eating out most nights but we will not be going to fancy restaurants more probably diners and popular chains. Is it acceptable to wear shorts in to these places. He is humming and aahing over whether to take 'trousers'. He is wearing jeans flying out. Hope you can help settle a heated debate. Plus the fact the less we take the more i can buy!!!!!!!(Only joking dear)[msnsmile2]

Yes. Theme Park attire is fine in most places, including some quite fancy restaurants. (There are a couple of exceptions.) Its only in the very upscale places away from the theme park areas where you would feel the need to 'dress for dinner'.

We all normally wear shorts & T shirts but it can get chilly sometimes with the air conditioning in some of the restuarants so I normally just take a long sleeved top with me.

Shorts and T.shirts, Jeans if you want and a cardigan in the evening depending on the time of the year. I use to take what I call dress up clothes and now have given in as the Americans are so laid back and casual.[msnsmile]

Take very little with you;the dress code is casual. Also, your villa will have a laundry to keep clothes clean.

And clothes are very cheap in Florida,so you will need to stock up there

Shorts, tshirts and comfy footwear, plus what you wear on the plane will be fine.Don't forget hats and light long sleeved top if you are fair skinned

I am often cold on the flight,so do take a sweatshirt in your hand luggage luggage

Have a good time, don't worry about forgetting anything,it will be available cheaper there

You need to take very little most villas have washing facilties.
    everyone dresses casual in Orlando.
But a must is a credit card or cash if you perfer as clothes are so cheap and you will always bring a lot more back than when you arrived.

Take lots of room in your cases or buy another when you get there[msnwink]

I find you may need a lightweight cardi for the evenings, if I have been in the sun all day when we go out to eat the air-con in restaurants can make me feel a little chilly.[msnsmile2]

This would be my advice too. The first time I went my case was full to bursting with a different outfit for every day and matching shoes...which is what I do on Med holidays [msnscared] and wore a couple of the most comfy outfits and bought a load of new stuff...I have since learnt.

Now I pack whatever I can ditch when I get there, stinkiest trainers, oldest swimming cossie....etc.

In most eating places you don't dress up and if you do decide to go somewhere a bit more upmarket for a meal .... again, you can buy another outfit.

There is a bit of a theme here......spend spend spend!!!![msnwink]
