Secret Finds in Disney or any of the other Parks

We all know about the great rides, shows, parades etc but what secret finds have you come across in Florida.

    Here are some of ours:

-searching for Hidden Mickeys in WDW
-the garden behind England in EPCOT
-the solar powered lawnmover in EPCOT
-seeing Goofy water ski on the Seven Seas Lagoon
-sitting upfront with the driver on the monorail
-looking for the key under the mat at Muppets in MGM
-trying to spot 'Devine' outside Animal Kingdom (she's dressed up and disguised to blend in with the greenery), you can only see her if she moves.

There are loads of other things - has anyone got any they'd like to share?[msnsmile2]

Talking drinking water water fountains at Epcot, talking trash can at Epcot, Kiri bird things at Epcot, mickeys backyard bbq, afternoon tea at the grand floridian (grand lakes also has a wonderful one too), the wedding ring at the tower of terror, singing in the rain at MGM, the talking boxes at MGM, lifting the car at MGM, 4 for a dollar at MGM and many more which escape me at the moment.

    Heres one of my favourites.
We leave the car at the transport and ticket centre then we walk through the grounds of the Poly along by the beach and up onto the headland where I watch the ferry sail to MK. We stroll past Luau Cove and make our way to the wedding chapel watching the birds and boats with the castle in the distance. We sit in the Floridian listening to the pianist or jazz band then we have afternoon tea and catch the monorail over to MK.
Sometimes we go in, sometimes we just catch the ferry back. We have AP's and are a more mature couple so I know it wouldn't be everyones 'cup of tea' but its a lovely way to spend an afternoon for us.
We also get the boat from Downtown Disney to French Quarter where we get off and stroll to Dixie Landings along the canal. We have a drink by the water wheel and then get the boat back to DD.

I know all the quiet areas for strolling. I think could write an article on Disney for the more mature couple.

As half of a mature couple myself, I think you should write an article for the more mature couple, I for one would be very interested.

My son is desperate to ride upfront with driver on monorail. How do you do this, do you just ask?

What is the key under the mat at Muppets?

in WDW the walled garden on the path from the castle to tomorrow land, belle appears there to do a live reading of beauty and the beast and gets some of the kids up. Sophie loved it but was too shy to go up, she's only 5, they all got to meet Belle afterwards

Yes that's all you have to do.

We find the best time is middle of the day when there are only a few people for the monorail. If it's busy when you arrive, let the crowd go on the first monorail that arrives and then ask a cast member . They will normally ask the driver for you.

When we went there was a limit to 4 people, so I went with the children , but my husband had to go is a normal carriage[msnsad]Well - I was the one who thought of asking![msnwink]

They gave the children a credit card sized certificate too , to say they had ridden up front.

We rode the monorail up front when it was dark on the way into Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party last year and it was fabulous. The kids got a Walt Disney World Monorail System Co-Pilot's Licence each when they left the cab at the MK (I've got it in front of me as I type). Really got the evening off to a special start.

We just asked a Cast Member and they said "only if you ask me nicely" so we all chimed in with a "puuuurrrrllllleeeeeeeeeeeeaasssseee" and he said "oh, ok"

Why not write one for the information pages. I would be really interested some of the things you have suggested sound really lovely and just my cup of tea.....if you'll pardon the pun. <blockquote id="quote" class="ffs">quote:Originally posted by Newhomebuyer
