    Car Type

We've always hired a full size car which really has everything we need. Just wondered is there much difference between a full size car and a premium car?
Can't decide whether to treat myself to the premium this time as I will still be saving money by booking thru this wonderful site

I would say that it depends upon how much driving you are going to do. I rent a premium car if we are doing a 'touring' type holiday and I think it's worth the diffrence especially if there are more than 2 of you.

If I just need a car for getting about within a relatively small area, I don't feel it's worth the cost difference and some of the really big cars (Lincoln Towncar for example) can actually be a handicap because they are intended for long distance trips.

I reiterate your comments on the car hire from this site, best prices and first class service - not easy to find these days.

    Hi Juliaanne

It really depends on what your needs are, how many people will be travelling, how many suitcase you will be taking

The difference in price between both is very little.

Weve upgrade in the past to a Premium Car an throughly enjoyed the drive but we now plump for the 7 seater minivan as there is lots of space for the Kids.

Go on why not treat yourself [msnwink]

How many of you are there Julie?
If there are more than 2 of us we often plump for the 7 seater van unless we are on a budget. Lots more room for the shopping[msnwink]
Having said that, one of these days when there are only 2 of us and not a lot of shopping, I am going to treat us to a convertible

There will mostly be only 3 people in the car. Maybe on one or two outings there will be 4 or 5 but they will only be short journeys out to eat.
As I said a full size (4 door) has always done the job before, just wondered if it was worth going up one step to the premium.

We always had a full size and it has just about everything you could wish for, ie electric windows, plenty of space, air con, cd etc

we are having a 7 seater van this time - with a stroller etc for the little difference in money it is great! Of course hired through this site!!!!!

What we have had before and it is surprisingly roomy, is the PT Cruiser, great fun, comfortable, feel like I am on holiday when driving it and we had loads of room for all of our baby things etc!
