We didn't even need to apply! They just gave us one at the tills when we were there a couple of years ago. We leave one of them in the information book for our guests. As you don't have to save points it means you get the discounted prices straight away. They sometimes do some great deals for using them as well.

    Hi Kissyme,

We used our Irish address and it arrived (after the second attempt!) - Someone earlier said you could pick one up in the stores when you get there [msnsmile]. The correct website is www.winndixie.com

<blockquote id="quote" class="ffs">quote:A Winn-Dixie reward card works in the same way as a Tesco/Sainsbury etc card here. They are loyalty cards and you get points each time you buy. The points eventually convert to savings either with money off or in vouchers.[/quote]

I don't believe they work like Tesco/Sainsbury etc, in that you don't get points or vouchers - at least not on the one I have used for a couple of years.

They do in-store specials, for which you must have a card.

We have a Winn Dixie card, a Publix card, an Albertsons card, a CVS Pharmacy card. They all give a smalll discount.
As far as I remember you just need a phone number to sign up.

Unfortunately, this is something a few grocery stores do here in the U.S. They want to know things about you and when you check out with your card, they can analzye the information.....You get sale prices, but only if you use the card. Now, if you shop at Publix, you get the sale prices WITHOUT a card. I feel the grocery stores don't need to know my address, my income, and what I buy every week. Why do they care? I never shop at a store that requires they have info on me before I get sales prices! Just my opinion
