    iPod. Help

Does anybody have two ipods connected to one computer.

My daughter bought an ipod today, my sons ipod settings will not download, it seems if we run set up on the second cd it will overwrite the first settings with the loss of all of the paid for downloads.

Can anybody help. My tech knowledge stops at L P s

I asked by son about this and he found a link for this video tutorial and step by step written instructions. If the link does not appear or it has to be deleted (not sure of rulings on this as I am a new member)then please DM me for details.

I have 3 iPod's running off my Mac - an iPod Photo, an iPod and an iPod Mini. They all co-exist quite happily. The paid for music should reside on the computer within iTunes - all the iPod does is sync itself to whatever you have in iTunes on the computer.

With the new iPod you should not need to run the CD that came with it as all this does it install iTunes on the computer (which you already have). You should be able to just plug the new iPod into the computer and let iTunes recognise the new iPod and take you through the necessary steps to set it up.

Thanks all of you for your help.

Clicked on the link which lead us to a conclusion that we needed to restore factory settings.

    Now all is working great.

Yet again I have come on this forum and found out the answer to a question without even having to ask it!!
Now I can safely go and buy my husband an iPod for his birthday and not conflict with my daughter's.

Why would anyone not use a Mac?

I've been using Macs since the original Mac Classic! I've suffered the usual silly remarks from Windows users ever since then. But now I think, finally, they understand the benefits of being a Mac guy!
I'm getting ready to trade up from my four year old iMac (indigo) into a new G5 iMac. I think that'll be my seventh!
    Rock on dude.

My first Apple was a Euro 11E+ BEFORE the Mac range was introduced!

If I told you how many I have now, it would disturb you!

But I do need them to earn a living!
