    Hi jds,

Welcome to this wonderful forum. You will find lots of info on the websites of the parks for special things like Halloween, christmas etc.
I know Magic Kingdom do a not so scary halloween party, and IOA have a bit more grown up halloween night.
You can also go trick or treating with the children round Celebration.
I'm sure you will get more info from other forum members.

    Have a great time[msnsmile2]

We did Florida last October during the kids school holidays. The queues were not too bad. Some of the bigger rides you would have to wait up to 30 mins and then some we walked straight onto.
Try and avoid the parks during the weekends as they are busy.
The weather was good, no rain and temps around 85-90f but it did cool down on an evening.
We did Micky's not so scary halloween party and it was great. The parks closed at 6pm and then reopens at 7pm til mid night. All the characters not to mention most of the visitors are dress in Halloween costumes. It wasnt too busy as we did Splash Mountain and Big Thunder rail road three times as there was no queues. The parade is great.

October is great - Halloween is really fun in America. The weather is good, and as long as you avoid the weekends the queues for rides will be alright, plus make use of the fast pass at Disney. All the characters at Disney dress up for holidays so they will be in Halloween dress, and you too can dress up if you like to join the spirit of things, Wal-Mart and similar places have lots to choose from.

Welcome to the forum and enjoy planning your holiday.

May/early June seems to be a good time to go, seemed to get on everything we wanted in a short space of time especially using the fastpass system. However Magic Kingdom which seemed to be the most popular park while we were there was extremly busy. Had to wait quit soom time for the most popular rides.

Going in August this time so I'm expecting rather large crowds so am preparing myself for some rather large crowds at the parks[msncry].

We closed on our villa last October, we had never stayed in Florida at that before
we thought it was a great time, not too hot but hot enough
But the best time of all for me was middle of December, until the middle if January,
You can go to all the sales after Christmas and when the children go back to school in January, the parks are so quiet you can go on all the rides no waiting we were lucky in Jan with the weather
But Christmas last year in Orlando was cold in fact I think it was warmer in Manchester
