    what to do near Sanford

    Hi all,
Just thinking ahead too much I guess seeing as we don't go until June!
But I was wondering if anyone has any good ideas on what we can do on our last day. Wanting to squeeze every last minute of the holiday experience!
We have to check out of the villa by 10am but don't fly from Sandford until about 9pm.
Is there much around Sanford to see and do? We have my 2 daughters aged 4 years and 18 months with us.
    Any suggestions appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Andy

I would not travel up to Sanford until you have to.
Just load the car up and spend the day around Disney, Kissimmee, orlando etc.

Perhaps a shopping trip to the Mall at Millenia which is right next to the I4 so handy for driving north via that route, the Florida Mall which is handy for the greeneway as is Downtown Disney, lake Buena Vista Factory stores and Chelsea Premium Oulet malls.

If you don't fly until 2100 you won't have to be at Sanford until 1800 at the latest and its only an hours drive on the greeneway which has less traffic than the I4. Personally would try and keep the kids entertained in the "holiday" area.

    Hi andy
Dont forget the time you get your car(ie 1500 need to have it back 1500 two weeks later) if you go over the car hire company will charge for an extra 24 hr.[msnoo]you just have to hang around sanford airport[msnsad].

Depending on what day you leave, there is a huge Flea Market on the way, plus there are a lot of Malls to look round as well. Failing that you could spend the day around the lakes up there. Sorry can't remember the name but it was a lovely area.

Lots of different place you could come off the highway and look round.

We found it interesting when we got lost looking for the flea market.

We always try and go to SeaWorld on our last day.

Relaxed atmosphere. Amazing animals and still plenty for the kids to do.

A great way to end a great holiday.

How early do check in desks open at Sanford?? I like to be rid of the luggage as early as possible (and usually use Disney check in when I'm flying with Virgin) Then I can relax and enjoy the last day...
Haven't used Sanford for about 8 years now.

There's supposed to be a really nice wildlife reserve/manateee spotting area nearby called something"river". I'll post the name when I find it.
