Never driven from Miami to Disney before, but you are looking at about 240 miles in total and a driving time of around 4 hours.

In August we are driving from Disney to Key West and was advised the above, hope this helps

I about 3 - 4 hours, watch out for speeding they are very strict on it, the troopers wait under the bridges. I would highly recomend paying extra and flying into MCO. Makes for a much easier start to the holiday and an easy last day, especially if you use Virgins luggage check in.

hello trevlad, we have just done this trip and i would recommend you take the Florida turnpike,it took us about three and a half hours and we stopped twice at the service plaza,s. The tolls are about 15 dollars, but you only pay twice at the start about 2 dollars and the remainder at the end of your journey. bluenose

I did this in November and it took about 6 hours. I landed at Miami at about 4pm and after immigration, baggage and picking up the car I think hit all the traffic heading out of Miami. It took about an hour and a half to get to the Turnpike and the whole journey took about 6 hours. It was after midnight when I got to my villa and was absolutely knackered. I really wouldn't recommend it on the day you arrive. If I ever fly into Miami again I will stay overnight there and then drive up early the following morning.

We stayed overnight at a hotel near Miami airport,we thought after such a long flight we would be refreshed and also missed the early morning traffic in Miami the next day.A word of warning trevlad,if your flying into Miami you have got to have your wits about you[msnscared],the car hire shuttle bus pick-up area, was horrendous. bluenose

We have done the trip a couple of times. Its takes 3.5 - 4 hours. We take I95 from Miami then the Turnpike. Then we leave the turnpike at SR 60 which takes us to SR27 just south of Southern Dunes (our destination).

Allow yourself a little extra time on the trip back to Miami. At peak times it can get very congested around Miami and it only needs a breakdown or an accident to cause a snarl up.

We got caught in traffic leaving Miami so it took about 4 1/2 hours using the Florida Turnpike. If you are lucky with traffic you should be able to do it in about 4 hours. If you add in immigration, customs, baggage reclaim, car hire realistically allow 6 hours for everything! Once you are on the turnpike it goes quite quickly and although you will be tired when you get to the villa just think about the days ahead.....[msnsmile2]
