Cosco have 2 on offer in the shop on orange blossom trail at the moment. A 7" version for $149, and a 10" with storage pack etc etc for $349.
The wal-mart on the 192 by medieval times has sold out of dvd players, or we couldn't find any yesterday.

We bought an excellent one from qvc (USA) for $149 including a seperate very long life battery that clips underneath, 9' screen with remote control and came wityh the mulitregion code. Has wll the outputs to hook up to a TV along with 5.1 surround sound. Great unit.

Hi I have been told that I will not be able to charge a Venturer PVS 1071 portable DVD in Orlando, can someone please tell me! I thought I would just be able to plug it in as I do with the game boy. I was thinking of buying one at Wollies as they are 1/2 price (129.99) and I was thinking it would be good for plane and car!!!! Anyone got any info on this make good or bad???

I would stay clear of the Venturer range (cheap and nasty). Some of the top brands are bringing prices down to just a little more than this.
I would try and get it region free in UK. that way will play in US. I don't have any problems charging in US.
All plane companies allow you to use them, just not at take-off and landing
Hope this helps

Shinco players are very highly rated with very high build quality.
Thanks we have decided to look for one with a games console included so will keep looking. it is for a xmas pressie so there is no rush ( I know I'm early)so prices may have come down by then - or maybe I'll have a laptop and son can play dvd on that.
We have a Shinco which charges up fine at our villa, also as long as it is multi region it should play US or Uk Dvds fine, good price on Amazon.

Try here http://www.dvdexploder.com/multihacks.htm
There are other sites as well - just Google "DVD multiregion" or "DVD Hacks"
