To all of you who cheat.... what you are doing is teaching your children to think its OK to lie, I look on that as double standards, so when you ask your kids to tell the truth for something they are trying to get out of...DONT GO THERE... because you are asking them to give the wrong information when you want something cheaper or for free.

You cant ask kids to lie for you to get what you want and then expect them to own up when they do something wrong and want to lie their way out of it.

My Grandma always said you can lock up from a theif but you can do nothing with a liar, telling lies really is one of my pet hates.

Sorry if I offend people but I think it wrong, that doesn't make me a goody two shoes, its just my opinion.

Personally I think saying a 10 y/o old is an adult is explotation from the parks etc - its would be much fairer if they had a teired (spelling?) price structure ........under threes - free, 4-10 child price, 11-16 teen price and 17 and over adult price.

No matter what the charges were we would all feel that we were not being ripped off[msnwink]

Sharing meals in the uSA is common place dont worry about it, we have an 11 year old who eats very little and shares a meal with his mom.

One thing I really object to is paying full for a meal for my son,he is 9 and eats very little, he could probably share with me as I don't eat much ( not meat anyway)most of the time when we go out he eats bread or ice cream, so when we go out to buffets it is a waste of money, but my hubbies likes to go out and he is not as fussy as us two!!! I wish I had the guts to say can he share with me!!

Well thanks for that florida for sun I will try I don't feel this is cheating anyone as my son really eats very little and for anyone who has seen picies of him they will realize this, we ate a lot last year in golden coral and while I paid kids price for him he only ever had bread and ice cream, mind you I only had a jacket potato and a cake - how hopeless are we I looked at people filling there plates and saw them looking at ours they must have thought my god what a waste!!!!
When we go this time my neice is coming with us and she is 12 and just the same as my son I keep telling them people will look at them and say poor kids why don't they feed them, they look like something from beafra skinney things!!! my doc keeps saying never mind he will change then you'll wish things were different!!! hope it comes soon - my hubbies says I don't know where he gets his energy from - and for those who think I bet he eats sweets no he dosent!!

My 10 year old is 11 next month. When we went to pick up our annual passes last September we had her as a 9 year old. The lady at the booth never even looked at her.
I doubt if the gate people at the parks ever check. We've been there many times and she just feeds her pass through and walks in![/quote]

Although I am not into trying to get cheap tickets for the kids, when we went to Magic Kingdom and bought ourselves a one day ticket I just said to the lady in the booth that it was "just the 4 of us" (me, the hubby one 13 and one 11 nearly 12 yr old). I was no means trying to fool anybody and when I had paid realised she had only charged us for 2 adults and 2 children. I spent the whole journey on the ferry boat stressing that we'd be thrown out of the park for being cheats and swindlers. But as we went thro the turnstiles they never looked twice!

I used the same approach at for example Golden Corrall. No lieing no deceiving just up to the cashier "4 of us please" its then down to her/him, they either charge us for 2 adults and 2 childen or 4 adults. If they ask the age then I'm truthful.[msnsmile]

We have a 9 year old daughter who has a part used child ticket, for our next visit she will be 10 - how do we go on - do we buy a new ticket or can we exchange it or simply use the child one until it runs out?

I share with my daughter all the time.......and she is 24......

I've always thought that people who can't use the rides should have much cheaper tickets and have their hands stamped with the date........if they then want to go on a ride......they could have a pay as you go machine...like the fast past on some of the rides.......
