paying full ticket price for a 10 year old.

Ok I confess I've borrowed this thread from DIS (don't know if I can use their name, edit away!)But it inspired such extremes I thought it would be interesting to see what others think.
Would you buy, your small for their age cowardly, 10 year old a childs ticket and save a few bucks when you know they should have an adults one? Please don't shoot me down[gun]never thought of doing it myself but some obviously do. Teresa

i'm sure if someone had a small for age 10/11 year old but knew the age limit. then they would by an adult ticket. but if they didnt know the age limit then i'm sure they would but a child ticket. cant say its something i've thought about either. [msnwink] teresa

Perhaps not so contentious as you thought? http://www.orlando-guide.info/forums/topic_3759.asp Would you expect your child to lie for you if they were asked their age though?

I have this problem this year, my eldest is 10 and will be 11 while we are out there, he is only about 2 inches taller than his 8 yr old brother, I wouldn't feel right, buying a child ticket and getting him to lie about his age, that is a terrible thing to teach a child.

just wanna add, am no angel, i just get so nervy if i tell a fib that i would make people question me!! dont like telling fibs![8D]

Same problem here. My 9 year old daughter will turn 10 on April 10th, and we are going out to Disney on April 18th! [msnscared] Why couldn't school break have been just a little earlier?

    ok my bit - eating out/parks etc - i never give them a chance to ask me, 3 kids 3, 5 and 10 - really 4, 7 and 12.

oh i know its wrong but if i can save some dollars than so be it.

my 12 year old knows that even when shes 20 she will be 10. i will just tell them that she is a well developed child on hormone treatment. LOL

and when my boys grow facial hair, i will say that they are on a treatment for my husband who is losing it on top, and this is the only way i can transplant live facial hair.

    god you have to laugh!!!

well i am going to go back to sunbathing in 89 degrees of heat. i may go for a gorgeous swim. gosh i am looking - well TANNED!

My 10 year old is 11 next month. When we went to pick up our annual passes last September we had her as a 9 year old. The lady at the booth never even looked at her.
I doubt if the gate people at the parks ever check. We've been there many times and she just feeds her pass through and walks in!
Don't worry. Tell them he's/she's 9 and get over it! Disney has enough millions. I doubt if they'll miss your few bucks!
My 3 year old still gets in free. We tell them he's a big 2 year old.

One thing I really object to is paying full for a meal for my son,he is 9 and eats very little, he could probably share with me as I don't eat much ( not meat anyway)most of the time when we go out he eats bread or ice cream, so when we go out to buffets it is a waste of money, but my hubbies likes to go out and he is not as fussy as us two!!! I wish I had the guts to say can he share with me!!
