    Wyndham Palace Resort

Can anyone give me any information on the Wyndham Palace Resort as I have read some really bad reviews and myself and hubby are due to stay there in September/October 2005 and are really thinking bout changing hotels. Any info would be really appreciated

I haven't stayed there for quite some time but when I did I loved the location. We first went in 1988 and it was terrific. I must admit that as the years passed it did seem to fade but we were often able to get good deals and the rooms were always clean and comfortable and the breakfast buffet which we got included in the deals was great. Haven't been for about 4 years though but the location is still terrific and if there is something wrong with the room complain straight away and I am sure they will sort it.
Where did you see the bad reviews?

my wife and I were due to stay there at Christmas to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We were shown two different rooms and checked out (we got a full refund)!

[:O] It really must have 'gone down hill' recently. We used to like being able to just cross the road to Downtown and the shuttle service was good.
Never mind Loz, if you don't want to risk it why not book a beautiful, spacious villa instead.

I have heard poor reviews about it to, I read some on various travel websites. Not fancy renting a villa and having lots of space with it's own pool?

We stayed in the Wyndham Palace back in February year before last before we bought our now gorgeous villa. We also ready bad reviews of it. But our room was excellent, although we only stayed a couple of nights while finding our villa and the facilities were alright, and very close to Downtown disney. All the major hotels in Orlando Disney area, are prone to have conventions on though. and sometimes the guests take a side line to this.

We have also stayed in the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress just across the road as well. The did have a convention on when we stayed in October, and parking was a nightmare, but the hotel itself was fine.

You can't beat a villa for the space and privacy and being able to please yourself when you want.

Thanks all I got the bad reviews from Trip Visitor. My hubby has said that we will give it a whirl and if it is bad we will complain or go straight to the Virgin rep. We did fancy a villa but there has always been 4 of us going and there is only myself and hubby going this time and we thought a villa would be too big for us plus we did not want to drive every day and picked the Wyndham as it was close to Downtown Disney. Have stayed at the Wyndham on International Drive and that was great but could not get in there through the British Travel Agents
