No-one is going to be able to bring Bisto and probably not Chicken Oxo either as they contain meat products and may be not Mango chutney as that contains fruit!

Can you also imagine the mess having a tub of Clover could make to your suitcase in the heat for about 12+ hours? It's also made from buttermilk, another banned produce.

Have you tried Golden Churn spread in Florida (various varieties)? It tastes less like axle grease and more like the spreads you get in the UK.

oh yes they can, we did.

i was joking about the clover i knew it would melt.

we brought in bisto chicken oxo and mango chutney. we had no problem, even when they searched the cases!!!!

all butter spreads taste like Poo over here. nothing can quite compare to English things[msntongue]

So, I take it you declared all this stuff on your Customs form and they said it was OK then?

I always take museli because that sort of thing in the US seems to be full of sugar. I specifically bring it to the attention of customs and have never had a problem even tough it contains raisins and sultanas. We take stock cubes every trip.

Thankfully the US customs seems to apply a less literal interpretation to these things. If you took it to an extreme, then what about leather goods?

oh blott you get sooooooo serious don't you. when they search your case at customs, and wave you through, i feel that is a pretty good indication that everything was ok. they are now saying that you cannot bring chewing gum in because of the gelatin. would you put that on your customs form?????no i expect you would forget that they are in you pocket!

I don't think it's a case of taking things too seriously, more likely that what you are suggesting is illegal - and this site cannot promote an illegal activity.
