    My grandfather used to paint funny faces on real hard boiled eggs and my grandmother used to make little hats for them.

    The first chocolate egg I remember had real chocolates inside in those little frilly paper cups - if you were really lucky, you got the more expensive double sided one with chocolates in both sides!

    I remember painting faces on eggs when I was a wee girl. I notice in the likes of Walmart you can still buy this sort of kit, although can't imagine modern day kids doing this and then rolling them down a hill and then eating them[laugh]
