There are rumours that a director has now been signed for the 3rd toy story movie.
Toy Story was the first disney movie that I went to as an adult!!! my husband and I borrowed our nephew and throughly enjoyed it!
It will be interesting to see how this works since Disney and Pixar are now going their separate ways.

Unfortunately there is also bad news [msnsad]
Disney own ALL of the rights to the existing Pixar movies (including Toy Story and Toy Story 2). They also own the rights to any sequels. With the ever worsening relationship between Disney and Pixar, Disney are threatening to 'go it alone' and make Toy Story 3 without Pixar [msneek].
Now, Disney can get the technology but the success of Pixar movies is as much due to the leadership of John Lasseter and the creativity of his staff as it is the technology. You only have to watch the documentaries on the DVDs to see their enthusiasm and dedication.
If Pixar don't do Toy Story 3 then I would rather it not be done at all.

When we went to the cinema to see the first one, a little girl said to Mr CDV "It's not that funny" really indignant she was as Andy was almost falling out of his seat at some of the adult humour in it!
