I would say stay in a villa near the beach - you will be able to chill, and have more privacy and quiet! Hotels can be very busy and not as relaxing and you don't have your own pool etc, but that is just my personal opinion from having stayed in so many with work. I love just sitting listening to the waves and walking along the beach......[8D]

What about a Gulf front condo? With that you will have much more space than a hotel room and with a much bigger pool than you would have at a villa.
We always have one week in a villa in Orlando and another in a condo at either Anna Marie Island or Madeira Beach. There are trolley buses running regularly so you don't have to take the car every time you go out.
