    Old town

Hi i have just been looking at old town web site and wish we had visited there when we were over last july or at least found this web site before we went.I didnt realise how big and the amount of shops etc there is.We went to pirates cove golf opposite it and was going to take a look but my 12 yr old had too much sun and we had to cut our golf short.
My husband is interested in the old car show so that will be our first port of call next year when we go back.[drinkpepsi]

When we first started visiting Florida we always stayed at Indian Wells which is just minutes from Old Town.
Old town always used to be the place we went on the first night, we haven't been on our last few trips so another visit is long overdue.

We always go to Old town each visit, there is loads to do there and as you say lots of shops; some quite unusual ones too. The cars parade on Saturday nights is great and there is a great atmosphere there. I've never tried any of the high rides though!!

Yes Kitty, the old cars are on Saturday nights, definitely worth a visit and as Liesa says, it's fun to watch the world go by and it can be an inexpensive evening out.

We took some friends to Old Town last October when we were in Kissimmee and they loved it so much they just kept going back. They were only there for seven days and we kept saying that there was so much more to see, but they just wanted to go back there three or four times to see the classic car cruise and the big bikes like Harleys (think the bikes are there on a Thursday or Friday night). They said Old Town was like stepping back into the fifties & sixties and had a "carnival atmosphere" about it. A must for a visit or two. (If you like ribs try Damon's just as you go into the main street!!) Mmmmmm!![msntongue]

Hi Kitty. If you want a bit of a preview of the old town car cruise I posted a few photos: http://www.orlando-guide.info/forums/topic_18504.asp

Old Town is a great night out, and on the cruise nights it's just jumping.
