Please, please, please help me. My 10 year old son is driving me mad!!! he is saving for an MP3 player and would really like an ipod, he is very good at saving (unlike his mother!!) and has already saved about £60
I have told him, he would probably get a far better deal in Florida and wondered if anyone has bought one or seen them for sale for a good price recently.
We already have friends who are visiting in November who said they would bring one back for us.
Many thanks

[Am thinking about buying some Ipods while in Orlando in October and I just wanted to make sure they are definately compatible in UK, sorry to sound a bit thick but don't want to waste my money
Yes they are. You just need to get an electric plug converter for the US charging pack that comes with the iPod (which is already 110-240v).

You can probably buy the small Apple UK adaptor on e-bay.
Apple make these nifty chargers that have interchangeable heads. We use one head for the states and keep the UK one at home.
Don't forget you can use your Firewire or USB cable to charge up the iPod by leaving it connected to your computer overnight. (The Power adaptor is quicker taking an hour or so to reach full charge.)
I was in Sams Club on Saturday. Thay have the 20gb iPod for $299.00. It came with an FM transmitter and car charger so you can use it in your car.
Sams tend to have the better prices on electronics.
