We bought an ipod photo from the apple store at the mall at millenia, it is absolutely fantastic. 15,000 tunes and 25,000 digital pictures. We all love it!

That's the one I have too - 60Gb model. It's great with the colour screen as you can see a thumbnail of the CD cover you are playing as the song plays. This facility is only available on the Photo iPod and is really good.

Have you seen the iPod shuffle: http://www.apple.com/ipodshuffle/
It's only 1Gb of storage but it is now based on flash memory rather than a hard drive.
Anyone prepared to hazard a guess how long it will be before we have 64Gb flash based iPods, and how much battery life they will have. Three years? Two years? Next year?
They say immitation is the sincerest form of flattery - check out the following page:

and then check out the iPod Shuffle on www.apple.com
I was just hearing on a Podcast that Apple are not in the least bit impressed by being apparently copied like this.

Crikey! I can imagine. Apple's whole product philosophy is based around design and usability. They must be furious. I wouldn't mind betting that the lawyers will be out in force soon on this one.

The shuffle is a very clever marketnig tool.
I looked at it, decided that I would try one but after a little research decided on spending a little more to get the mini ipod.
Now after a couple of months use I have decided to upgrade to the full photo ipod in October.
So from just the announcement of this shuffle I will have progressed in just under a year to a fully fledged ipodder
Brizzle.
When I first saw the Shuffle my immediate thought was that it would be perfect for taking to the gym. I sometimes find my iPod a bit big and cumbersome.
Maybe Apple see a world where we all have more than one iPod!
LOL - wait for the next step after that (one which I have just sucummed to) - you get a Photo iPod and then just have to have a new Apple iMac. Apple are calling it the "halo effect" [msnsmile]
I'm delighted with my new iMac - it's a fabulous machine and looks the part as well.
