We had non uniform day and had to wear something red. I put the red gel that you get in my hair (not all over just little streaks) they were having a marathon at the gym tonight, three of the staff had been doing back to back classes all day, sponsered one of them.

Pete went to work wearing a red curly wig. Suited him though, seeing he lost his own way back.[laugh] Have enjoyed Celebrity Fame Academy all week, Kim was my fav. Hate Richard Park. Have been weeping for time to time when watching the clips of Africa.[msnsad] Have donated online. Wonder if we shall beat the 60 million raised last year.

I like the programme but I hate the way they blackmail you with those films, they have the desired effect I suppose. It has been the same for the last 10 years.

Africa is so so corrupt and that is the problem. Mr CDV worked in Angola for a while and they "adopted" a little boy, who had one leg, the other blown off by a mine and he lived in a tractor tyre, they made a proper crutch for him, cleaned him up and fed him, gave him clothes and cash but after 6 months they had to leave so all they could do was they gave him a wad of money.....probably stolen by the older boys. They all wanted to bing him home but it was just not possible. I would have been heartbroken and I think a few of the roughty toughty guys were. If he is still alive he will be about 20 now.

In the meantime all the big fat UN staff are driving around in top of the range vehicles, dressed well and living in the best of places.
The UN has it's corruption too sad to say. I have seen it first hand!

I hope they raised more than ever last night..................

My daughter's school appeared to do less this year than last? There was a bake sale( her fav way of raising money unfortunately ) she participates way to eagerly!
We filled the red nose box, and threw money into the various collection boxes around town yesterday! I too was hooked on fame academy this time and made a few calls, bit surprised at Edith winning in a way, thought it would end up being Ade or Reggie.
As with any charity/appeal, I always hope the money collected is going to the right places, I think as a nation we seem to do more than our bit when it comes to ordinary folk giving pennies?

I'm afraid I work in a Primary School with a very unpopular headteacher. She wouldn't let us do anything for Red Nose Day and even said that if any children came in anything red she wanted to see them. All the teaching staff rebelled by wearing all black as if in 'mourning' and most of us pinned a small Comic Relief badge somewhere on the black. I think she got the message[msnwink]. We had a sweepstake in the staff room (she couldn't stop us doing that) it raised £20 for Comic Relief. I also bowl in a Ten-Pin Bowling league and we paid 50p for every open frame.

    I wanted Edith to win[msnsmile2][msnsmile2][msnsmile2][msnsmile2]
