Car Hire from this Site

I'm talking to Charter at the moment and they say we must pay for car hire to get the virgin prices quoted. I've booked car hire through this site ever since I first came here and am very unsure now what to do. What 'extra insurances' should I be asking about?

We booked for the summer with Charter Travel and I told them we didn't want car hire and they told me that was fine as it was not a requirement of the ticket type booked, however when I have booked for Xmas they have told me we have to have the car as that is a requirement of the Virgin ticket.

When i booked in January with Charter they just said to me are you ok for car hire and i said yes thanks already getting it sorted and they said ok no probs!

This does depend on what sort of tickets you buy.
It is compulsory with some tickets.

Best to get flights before car hire I think!

I found that to be the case too. I have been enquiring with Charter Travel about flights, and they told me that with certain types of tickets for Virgin or American Airlines (which were the two airlines I was offered flights with at the time) I would need to book some sort of car hire as well.
