Favorite Beach?

We'd like to try some different beaches this trip. We usually go to
Canaveral Shores by Cape Canaveral and once over by Tampa. Any suggestions?

Hi,
if you do a search on beaches you will find quite a few threads on the topic. The most popular area is the west coast.

I've posted these before( so sorry if you have already seen them) but to get you started have lunch at the South Beach Bar and Grill at Boca Grande near Englewood and then stroll out to the beach:

We love Fort Myers Beach (Estero Island) Great for Sanibel & Captiva. No good for a day trip though and we love Clearwater too.[msnsmile2]

Fort Myers and Naples areas for us (Miami and the Keys if we are heading that way, although would not go just for the beaches). Flying into Fort Myers in April and will spend a few days in Naples before coming up to the house. Our trip next week to Orlando is to to chill (hopefully not) in our pool for the first time and we shall save the beach trip til April, we do enjoy our trips to the Coast and are always interested in reading peoplesw opinions on the beaches.[msncool]

I'm with Steve & Dawn on this, Fort Myers Beach is our favourite beach, we stay right on the beach and love walking along the shore at dusk.

I am with Andrew. South Beach is a fantastic restaurant and I love the Boca Grande beaches

I love Stump Pass beach near Englewood particularly at sunset when it is so peaceful just looking for shells and watching the dolphins 'perform' a few yards from the shore.
