Favorite Beach?

Has to be Clearwater. We went at a weekend which was a holiday period and it was empty. Great white sands that look like snow at night.

This summer after spending 2 weeks in in our own villa in Orlando, we are heading for a wonderful condo in Clearwater. Booked through this site,there are some great villas and condo's for rent.
We love the beach and are really looking forward to seeing another side of Florida. [msnsmile2][msnsmile2][msnsmile2]

We just love Cape Coral, Fort Myers and the beaches around Rotonda - it is so completely different to all the hustle and bustle of Orlando. The boat trips are great and it is extremely rare to go out on the boat and not be joined by dolphins.

We usually combine a trip down to these areas but we don't stay in hotels - we always stay in a villa. There is nothing nicer than a lovely relaxing day on the beach and then come home in the evening and relax around your own pool and BBQ. We also find that you are more likely to enjoy a leisurely breakfast around the pool before heading out anywhere. Trouble is, once I get comfy I never really want to move!!!!

We normally stay at the Gullwing(it was fully booked this time[msnsad])so in March, we're staying on Longboat Key and HOPE we've found somewhere nice!

Aiminghigh, well you know that next door, Pointe Estero, is owned by the same company. Normally a bit cheaper than The Gullwing too.[msnwink]

We're making our second visit to Orlando this year and are planning to visit Clearwater. Any tips on the route from the Orlando area? Looks like I4, I275 through Tampa and then the W Courtney Campbell Causeway over Old Tampa Bay? Also, I assume the beach area is easy to find? What is the parking like?

The Gulf coast is beautiful, that was one of the first places we stayed in a villa and gave us a taste of wanting to own in Florida.
Looking forward to going back there possibly next year and will be looking for the perfect villa to rent[msnwink]

Have to agree with you there Liz, we stayed in a lovley villa in New Port Richey on one of our trips to Florida and that is where we first got hooked on the idea of owning one of our own.[msnsmile2]
