    ET @ Universal

In the great scheme of things you might think this a silly question, but having been laughed at for two and a half years, I have to know!!

When we went on the ET ride, I gave my name as you do to the clerk and even had to spell it for her, but at the end it was 'goodbye Angela!!!!!' not goodbye Anita[msnmad]

I have almost been scarred for life by this episode[msnwink] and seing as all my family and friends find it hilarious, wondered if it has happened to anyone else?

When my son was 8 (he's now 16!) we went on the ET ride. He spelled his name out(Michael) and when we got to the end, ET said "Goodbye Travis"(or should I say "Goodbye Traaavis"). It's made us laugh for years-so much so that a couple of years ago, we bought him a metal door plaque from New York with the name "Travis" on it. In fact, we still call him it sometimes! Your story made me smile.

In 1995 my dad thought he was being clever and wanted to be called Elliott as per the young boy in the film.
He got confused with Luke Skywalker in Star Wars and called himself Luke.[laugh]
We still talk about this all the time.

I know it's childish, but we always give names like RANDY and JOHN-THOMAS. Makes us howl with laughter at the end of the ride.

See, we are easily amused [msneek]

Glad to hear that my husband is not the only one to give a silly name. We always have to wait to hear what he has called himself at the end of the ride.
