We have been on both the week long Disney cruises. Cannot rate them high enough! As you would expect attention to detail is superb & there's something for everyone![msnsmile2]

For a day at the beach I would chose Clearwater every time, lovely safe beach and nice town to wander around, lovely[msnwink]

I've done the Week long cruise on the Disney Magic and found to to be
excellent, even though we didn't have kids at the time! I've been
on lots of cruises (my wife sells them) and this is one of the best,
    but its not the cheapest!

Clearwater Beach is far better than Daytona in all respects and it goes for Cruises as well. For an upmarket riverboat type cruise, try the Show Queen cruise website. Captain Memo's has a more informal and adventurous atmosphere and is more suitable for families with kids. For those interested in wild Dolphin spotting, there is the good old 'Little Toot' tugboat.

Disney Cruises are longer and more expensive trips, often around the Bahamas and Caribbean. They are good, but difficult to predict how kids would react to week long ones, even with Disney Characters abound.

Daytonna is a boys town really. Clearwater is nicer.

No competition for us, it would have to be Clearwater, this is one of our favourite beaches in Florida.[msnsmile2]

As mentioned in an earlier post - siesta Key and Sarasota (south of Clearwater). Siesta Key was voted one of the top 10 WORLDS BEST BEACHES
