    Mamas & Papas Pushcairs

    Hi Everyone,

We have a friend who is pregnant and she asked me if M & P pushchairs/buggies etc where available in the US. We have never had to look or be interested in such things so "Ask the Experts".

Any advice on equipment, clothes etc will be passed on and thanks in advance for any help.

They are planning on visisting April time and are expecting September time i think so they want to get what they can in the US if its cheaper/better.

    Regards,
    Neil & Kay

Most of the baby buggies in the US are made by Graco, never saw any M & P's over there[msnsmile]

Can't see them on the Walmart or Toys R Us sites. My friend had all Mamas & Papas nursery items and a travel system and she bought it all from an internet site with a base in Scotland, much cheaper than from the Mamas & Papas store.[msnsmile2]

We bought one of the 3 wheeler buggys in Orlando last year. Can't remember the make but about $60-00 compared to £120-00 over here for exactly the same model!!
Baby car seats also very cheap.

Try Peg-Perego, I had a M&P pushchair, but the chassis was Peg-Perego. They are available from Babies R Us and Burlington Coat Factory

    Neil & Kay,

Does your friend live near London? There's a very good outlet in Barking. I can find out the name of it from a work colleague who bought her Mama and Papa's buggy there.

    Regards

The factory that make M and P are British and just down the road from me, Pego Perego is part of them and this is usually on the chasis of all the prams and on most of the toy cars (battery types)
And before anyone asks they are very tight and do not have a factory shop - they used to and I got mine from there but they closed it cos they said the shops selling "pefects " were losing out!!!!

Thanks for the info, i will pass it on.

Does everyone agree they should wait and buy in the US or is it not worth it ?

Kim, we and our friends live in and around Leeds.

    Regards,
    Neil & Kay
