    Sales Tax - how much??

    How mush is the sales tax ? Thought it was 6% is that right??

    Depends on the county you are in.

    For example most Disney hotels add 6% tax but I think the All Star resorts only add 5% because they are in a different county.

    Edit: then I looked it up...

    The state sales tax is 6% and the state resort tax is 5%.
    There is also an additional sales tax of 1% in Osceola County.
    At WDW resorts, apart from All Star resorts, you will pay 11% on your room.
    However, at the All Star Resorts you will pay 12% tax on your room, purchases at the resort will have 7% tax added.

    If you go in the last two weeks of their summer holidays a lot of shops (particularly those selling children's clothes) offer tax free.

    I think the end of their summer holidays is around the beginning of August.

    The new Wal Mart on the 27 near High Grove charges 7% that is in Lake County.
