    Driving to Clearwater

How long will it take to drive from Kissimmee to Clearwater and it it an easy drive?

We Usually allow an hour and it is straight forward, head for Tampa on the I4 and it is well signed.

If you are staying for something to eat, we can highly recommend Laverocks.

    Hi Paul,

Did a search on the web - is it this one? If so looks good and will give it a try - love seafood.

That is the one in St Petes, but if you go across to Sand Key and just across the bridge (approx 1 mile ) is a restaurant called "Backwaters" and it has the best Fish and Steak for miles around and fantastic views over to the mainland. Great wine too!!!

We can highly recommend Laverocks too, it was very busy the night we went, had to wait 50 minutes for a table but it was worth it.[msnsmile2]

I would allow about 75 minutes at least. It is easy and straightforward on Interstate-4 West upto Tampa, after which you take I-275 South very briefly. But then you have Route 60 (Courtney Campbell causeway across the Old Tampa Bay)going to Clearwater Beach and this is a bit narrow and can be crowded with traffic.
