Tickets/Food and Seating at Dinner Shows

We are going to florida in May and hoping to go the 'Pirate Dinner Show' while we are there. Can anyone tell us if they have seating areas for children with special needs, we are travelling with 2 boys with Autism, our son and my friends son, Our Son isn't keen on lots of load noise, but we can take headphones for him, he loves these things but can get over excited. He will only eat certain foods too, bread rolls, toast and cereals, he will at a push eat a burger? can special food be ordered at these shows? Also Tickets best to buy in the US or here? We are looking at Prices for the parks too. Quite confusing conflicting info really from friends who have been some saying buy in US, some saying buy here. Can anyone help. [grouphug]

We have only been to the Arabian Nights Dinner show. The show itself was entertaining but the food was pretty awful. It was a steak dinner and i can't remember if there was a childrens option as it was 5 years ago now. I am not sure about ordering certain foods, it was unlike a restaurant, more like a concert hall seating plan with benches as tables and the courses were all saved more or less at the same time.

Sorry not to be of more help to you, it may be worth looking to see if they have a website and contacting them direct

Tickets to Dinner Shows including Pirate's are sold on this site and they are as good a value as any. If you're buying your other tickets here, it might be wise to do the same for the Dinner Show as well. You need to contact them closer to the time for the actual date of the visit and at that time, see if you can come to some agreement about special seating arrangements for your sons. Normally, seating for Dinner Shows is on a first-come first served basis, but I am sure they will try and accommodate your family. Don't forget to be on time for the pre-show.

Thank you. I agree the ticket prices on this site are very good. Just didnt know if buying them in the US was going to be a better option or not.

    Hi

We went to the Pirates show in December. It is sort of a circular seating plan with benches around a ship in the middle. The tables at the bottom were more expensive but might not be if your son counts as disabled. Otherwise it is a climb up to the further away benches.

Show was good, but you might need to take some food for your son, I think the childrens meal was chicken nuggets, desert was apple pie and ice-cream.

Got my tickets through this site, much cheaper than in the US even with discount vouchers.

We are also going to the Pirates Dinner Show, how long does the show last? I am trying to plan with my friend who we are travelling some evenings out. We all want to enjoy the show but if it is late my boys maybe tired from all those theme parks.

    Hi Bluebirds

There is a pre show bit, the main show and then a disco. I think the main show started around 7:30pm and finished at approx 9, You don't need to stay for the disco if your kids are tired.

Sorry to put a dampner on but we hated the show!! food was awful and the show very boring. I work with Autistic children and IMHO they will not be grabbed by this show at all. We paid $5 extra for the best seats and still we could not follow the storyline.
We went ecuase we have seen the show in Majorca and reallly enjoyed it but it did not compare at all sorry!!!!
Orlando has so many other attractions we felt we had wasted an evening.

Actually, there are a couple of alternatives to consider for your kids. One is the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Disney's Fort Wideness Resort. It is a song and dance show that is especially good for kids and plays 3 shows every night. The "all you can eat" food spread including prime ribs is much better than in any other dinner show.

Alternatively, you can consider the Masters of Magic show near Pointe Orlando on I-drive. This also has 2 evening shows and is great fun for all ages. There is no dinner included, but the venue is right opposite the wonderful Bahama Breeze restaurant where you can go either before or after the show.
