Passport Expiry Dates

If you travel (there and back) during October this year - what is the earliest that your passport can expire - is it 6 months after you're due to leave?

April 06?

My kids passports expire September 06.

6 months from your last date in the country. Sept 06 should be fine.

According to the American Embassy website anyone with a UK passport, including children, entering the United States under the Visa Waiver Program require individual machine-readable passports (with two lines of letters, numbers and ´>´s printed at the bottom of the personal information page, that is, the page with photograph and personal details) which must be valid for at least 90 days from the date on which the holder enters the United States.
