To add to the confusion, there really is an 'eating tea' meal. It is a Tibetian Sherpa 'delicacy' called "Tsampa" (I think) which is made by cooking tea leaves and barley. It is NOT a staple diet fo the sherpas generally, but apparently, they use it as a filler while travelling up the mountains!

Is there any subject you dont know something about Arun?

Maybe you should try for who wants to be a Millionaire.
I could see you walking off with a big cheque, and i could be your phone a friend,as long as the subject was Football,Gambling or Las Vegas

I don't know a lot of things. Football for instance...if you told me that David Beckham was the Dalai Lama's grandson, I'll probably believe you (btw he's not, is he? [msnscared]).

<span style="color:blue">But I think I can manage Las Vegas without help, thanks [msnwink].

OK, I'll have a go. I confess that I have Las Vegas Review saved as a favourite, but I promise that I did not consult it while trying to answe these questions.

    1. Imperial Palace - I think. They had a vintage car exhibition there when we went.

    2. Mandalay Bay

    3. The LV monorail seems to be in bita and pieces at this time, but I think the longest south-north line will be between MGM Grand & (new) Sahara. (PS: I had forgeotten about Sahara's regeneration or whatever)

    4. Spice market Buffet is in Aladdin

    5. Not sure on the 'Speed' ride; either Stratosphere or Sahara.

    6. Rita Rudner is supposed to be 'exclusive to NY-NY, but there are rumours that she might move to Caesar's Palace.

    7. Let's see; there is the CAT (Citizen's Area Transit) bus but that goes elsewhere too; then there is the Strip Trolley.

    8. Easy. The LV Hilton. I love this although I'm not a 'Trekkie'. With those 'Duotronic Computers' and 'Warp Drive', it's amazing howh how fact seemlessly blends into fiction.

    9. I haven't the foggiest .

    10. That's Steve Wynn's new megaresort, built at the site of the old Desert Inn. I think it is going to be called 'Wynn Las Vegas'

Very good Arun,8.5 out of 10[clap]

You sure do know about Las Vegas.

Speed is indeed at the Sahara, and i highly recommend it seeing how much you enjoy coasters.

The only one you did not get right was number 9 "Airplay" which is actually at the Tropicana and the photo below i took last year.

With those 'Duotronic Computers' and 'Warp Drive', it's amazing howh how fact seemlessly blends into fiction.[/quote]We stayed here and got caught up in a hotel fire! Our room was on the 29th floor but we ended up on the pool deck (3rd floor) as we weren't allowed back into the building. My husband got swept away by some firefighters and not allowed back to us again so Mum and I were left to fend for ourselves. Mum and I made hasty plans to jump into the pool if the fire came through the flat roof! After about an hour, the Duty Manager appeared on the pool deck yelling out my name and we discovered that my husband had sent him and another pile of firefighters through the thick smoke inside to come and rescue us! We even got our bags carried for us but had to run around loads of back staircases to avoid the worst of the smoke.

After everything was back to normal (although they had to move two floors of guests so there was a huge queue at the check-in desk), we all got a free meal.

After some refreshments, we did the Star Trek ride (which was, not surprisingly, empty!) and they have a lot of Star Trek items too which makes the pre-ride pretty interesting.

The stay was a complete nightmare and I never realised (although we've had hospital fires) how frightening it is being stuck somewhere with billowing smoke everywhere. A hotel stay never to be forgotten!

Even though i have known my American friend almost 5 years now i still have a few words/phrases that confuse her once in a while.

She came on line a while ago and asked me what i was doing and i replied "eating my tea" she of course said dont you mean drinking your tea and i said well yes i am drinking my tea,but im also eating my tea

Some of we Brits call our dinner...tea,but it was hard trying to explain that to an American...lol.
