Thanks

'Normal' travel insurance should cover the cost of every expenditure for an insured loss but, as always, it pays to read the small print and make sure!
Cancellation and curtailment are usually the sections involved up to a certain maximum for each person.
You obviously wouldn't get reimbursed for Disney tickets that you could use another time or damage, etc to a villa.

Make sure you check the level of medical cover as well, as it is VERY expensive to have any kind of medical treatment in the US.
I think most insurances cover the cost of "non-refundable" or non-transferable items.
As always its down in the fine print and it can be exhausting reading them all but if you need to call on it, believe me, will you be grateful.
I always get the BA yearly family insurance, its not the cheapest but it has one of the highest medical covers and legal.
Last year our 2 y/o was ill and the dr came out to the villa, very good service in my view![msnsmile2]
