I do think that this is often a confusing piece of information for first time visitors. In fact the whole WDW concept is too huge for most people who have never been, to imagine.
We know that it takes so long to get from one end of Disney to the other that you can be staying in a villa and get to the theme park of your choice quicker than if you were staying in WDW at the opposite end. eg. We can get to MGM or AK quicker from our villa than if we stay at WDW Port Orleans. Similarly you can get to DD quicker from Chatham Park than if you are staying at WDW Animal Kingdom Lodge.
I am sure there are other similar examples.
The whole area is so hard to imagine until you have been once, don't you think?
