I agree 100% Liz, but I'm afraid it is unavailable for sale in the UK. One will have to go to Florida.![]()

Can anybody help?
We are flying out to Florida Sunday morning, however my 13 year old daughter has just gone down with what seems to be the flu. She has all the symptoms, headache, temperature. aching body etc etc....
Everybody seems to be dropping like flies around us and so I am a little concerned as to wether it is safe to fly while ill?

One thing you don't want are blocked sinus because this increases the chance of severe ear pain on the decent and the possible perforation of the ear drums.
I would get the Dr to prescribe something to keep these as clear as possible.
Hope she feels better soon![msnsmile]

I'm lucky enough to have bad ears..if you can say thats lucky....but I get no pain flying.....but I get those nasty cold milk heads for a week or so after if my ears and sinus are bad while flying.....but if I waited till my ears got better I would be grounded forever.....[msnsad]
Decongestants are the best thing to take. I made the mistake a couple of years ago while recovering from a cold of only taking the deconsetants on take of. I was fine on the flight, but as we began to descend my earache got really bad! I was in absolute agony. As soon as we went passed a Walgreens I got my husband to stop and I got some strong pain killers, but it took about 5 days for the pain to go!
So now I make sure if I have had a cold to still take decongestants on take of and landing!
Thanks a lot everybody.
She has now seemed to have got over the flu like symptoms but has the start of a nasty cold!!!! Runny nose, blocked up etc. Off to the chemist for decongestants now.[msnscared]
