    Hi all

    Hi everyone

My name is Summer, I am 24 and live in the UK, and my family and I will be visiting Orlando, Florida for the first time on the 29th of December 2005 - 18th January 2006. [msncool] My fiance and I are getting married on New Years Eve at Lake Eola, wedding reception is to be held at Lee's Lakeside, staying at either The Westin Grand Bohemain or The Radisson Resort Parkway (haven't decided yet) for 3 nights, 29th-1st. Then were on to Cypress Pointe Grande Villas for the duration of our holiday. In theory this all sounds great, but having never been to Orlando, I can only base my choices on what I have heard from people on sites, or on info on the web.
I am so looking forward to coming to Orlando, I am in desperate need of a holiday[msnsmile2], My mother, his mother and his older brother and wife are coming, none which have been to Florida either! How will the weather be in Orlando at this time of year?
I want to make this the best holiday ever, so I am planning everything well in advance, any suggestions on how to get the most of my wedding and holiday would be much appreciated!

    Thanks all

    Summer

The weather in Orlando is rapidly improving after the recent cold front and so everything should be fine for your wedding.

For dining, you have two excellent choices right in the Lake Eola area. Lee's Lakeside restaurant where the reception is going to be or The Boheme at the Grand Bohemian where you might be staying.

As for the holiday, just let us know how many days you're actually planning to use for visiting and the sort of things you and the family like. We can take it from there.[msnsmile2]

Well, I obviously have to do Disney, Universal, Sea World, Busch Gardens. I have been to the ones in California, But I know Orlandos attractions are supposed to be much better. I love zoos, probably the whole holiday will be devoted to visiting all the theme parks. My mother and his mother obviously don't want to be worn out, visiting all the parks constantly, so we hope to take in plenty of shows. I hear Cirque De Soleil is great, any others that are constant.
When I went to Vegas, I saw The Blue Man Group and Storm, I was mesmerized, anything like that showing here. Our parents have never been to shows like that and would love for them to see something like that. We also like comedy, and I understand that their is a Comedy club in Lake Buena Vista, any good?
As for New Years Eve, is there anywhere that offers a ball, or something like that? As it is my Wedding, I thought it may be a nice touch to go to a ball, rather than a street party (don't want to mess up my new dress!) Do you think The Westin Grand Bohemian would have a ball for New Years?
Ahhh, I feel I have so many questions, I just want everything to be perfect. Ooh I also think we are having a horse drawn carriage to take us round Lake Eola[msnembarrased], can't wait!!!

If you like Comedy Shows, there are a couple of good ones at DD Pleasure island, namely The Comedy Warehouse and Adventurer's Club. Since your party you likes animals, allow a full day to spend at Disney's Animal Kingdom (rather than half-a-day as some might suggest) and plan to spend some time at the petting areas of Rifiki's Planet Watch. Gatorland and Silver Springs are also 'Animaly' places and for something different for an hour or two, there is Green Meadows Petting Farm.

Allow a full rest day every fourth day to relax, specialy for the older embers of your group. Magic Kingdom, MGM, Universal, Islands of Adventure and Sea World can all be done in a good full day each. Epcot might spill over to a second day if you are 'into' that sort of thing. Try to reserve a few hours on a Saturday evening at Kissimmee Old Town - great fun for all the family. Your mother and others might also like a quiet day at Winter Park.

Of course, there is plenty more to see and do and we can answer your queries as you ask them.
