    Basketball

I have been trawling around the net to get some prices on getting to see a basketball game. The game we would like to see is Orlando Magic V Chicago Bulls on 6th April 2005 and the price I am getting from [name edited] is

Tickets (Orlando Magic vs. Chicago Bulls)
    Full price tickets US $82.00 x 2
    Total Convenience Charge(s) US $9.75 x 2

    Order Processing Charge(s) US $4.25
    International Will Call US $2.50

    TOTAL CHARGES US $190.25
Is this a reasonble price for tickets in section 121? could we get them cheaper?
Any help from basketball fans would be welcomed as we have never been to a basketball game before! [beer]

I can't post the link but if you go to the Orlando Magic website (which is exactly how you would imagine the URL to be) you can check out the tickets on there.

The Orlando Magic ticket option refers you to [name edited]. The prices on there are the same as you posted in your post, not cheap are they?

I haven't looked at that game but we're thinking of going in a few weeks time (22nd Feb against Indiana) and there are tickets available from $10 upwards. However, all the extras, such as the Convenience Fee, and Will Call (free for US and Canadians, but costs everyone else $2.50) do add up, even on cheap tickets. The box office is open to callers Monday to Friday and for 3 hours before the game, so you could always take a chance. I think we'll ring up on the day and go if tickets are available, as I dislike all the extras that ticket agent adds on.

We may try to do the same with the rodeo on Sunday 20th February, our first full day (they use the same ticket agent). If we're really lucky, we'll see both - if we're really unlucky we'll see neither!

I read on another board that even the $10 seats at the basketball have a great view, though from further away, so don't be put off by a low price if you can get one.

If you go on the Orlando magic website and take the ticket option there is an option of a 3D layout of the arena. By floating your cursor over the seats you can find the prices of each seat.

There are some seats for $10, they are at the very back behind the baskets.

We have always managed to get seats by just turning up at the TD Waterhouse Centre. We normally get the $10 seats which although up in the gods do still have an unrestricted view of the whole court. You also get the added bonus of being level with the large TV screens so can either watch the court or sit there with your Bud and popcorn and pretend you are watching it on a large screen television at home!
