Excuse my ignorance here, but I am curious to know what a 'hollywood smile' is? I don't have any dental fillings (never needed them ) and have only visited the dentist once in the last 20 years and so I'm intrigued. I thought most people were happy with the natural smiles that they've got?

Ultra white perfect teeth.

And people pay £1800 for that? But won't you get clean, white teeth if you simply brush your teeth twice a day every day? I would have thought it is a lot cheaper and less painful. Everytime I hear the word 'dentist' I am reminded of the film "Marathon Man".[msnscared]

For people who smoke, drink coffee etc white teeth are almost impossible. People pay upto 20 thousand pounds for the perfect smile!I watched a tv programme about a Harley Street Dentist and it looked so painful but the teeth afterwards were amazing but they only lasted 15 years and you had to go back and have them redone!

OUCH!
