Ok peeps I am back with you, finished the chemo 4 weeks ago and have barely got out bed since then, but finally feeling better!
Saw the plastic surgeon last night for discussions regarding reconstructive surgery and have to lose 2½ stone by September! Am going to give the GI diet a go and if that doesn't work then it is back to Atkins (or the South Beach diet)!
Had my porridge for breakfast and will be having pumpernickel bread and cottage cheese with baby toms for lunch and chicken and salad for supper. Making a low-cal jelly in a mo and going shopping for berries and fruit as have eaten all the apples in the house!
I can now walk the dogs without getting too tired so doing this twice a day, am working up to power walking - still getting very tired so this might be another month off realistically. Also trying to pluck up the courage to go back to the gym and at least go swimming, but have to time it when it is likely to be quiet as open-plan ladies changing room and I don't want to put anyone off or have loads of people (or children) staring. Also been recommended to do yoga as well as swimming, so going to sign up for the beginners class. Have total flabby bat wing on arm that had the lymph nodes removed so drastic non weightloading plan is needed for that.
