Well done Julie for staying the same[clap][clap]

Confession time for me[msnscared], I have had a really big urge for chocolate today and my husband went out and got me a small bar of galaxy, I did share it between 4 of us and it was lovely[msntongue],
it has been my only slip up, honest.

My theory on this is that if you continuously feel guilty because you have eaten something you are not supposed to, then it can hinder your progress, just write it off and carry on as normal.

A tip to not eating what you shouldn't....instead of eating something you really want or like, try to imagine it as something you dont like ( like eating a plateful of human hair, you know what it feels like if you have a hair in your mouth yuk!) press your little finger and thumb together whilst you are imagining it ( this by the way, should bring to mind the picture of the thing you dont like eating.. "action association")

Every time I want to eat something I shouldn't, I do this ( courtesy of Mr Paul Mckenna) and for me it works. I use human hair mixed up in a big plate of mashed potatoes, because I love all food and there really isn't anything I dont like.

There is also a little exercise that you can do and you will feel really stupid doing it..... tap with two fingers under one eye ( ten times ) then tap under your collar bone ( ten times )tap under your armpit ( ten times ) same on the back of your hand under your little finger ,then hum a tune ( any will do, I just do Baa Baa Black sheep [msnembarrased][msneek]) for a few seconds and then count out loud to five. If you do this three or four times it should stop your craving. If you are still wanting, just repeat it till the feeling goes away.

Like I said it will make you feel really daft but there again it works for me.

The silliest thing about it is that it takes your mind off what you are craving. Have a go and see if it works for you. You haven't lost anything if it doesn't work . All it is is mind over matter and focusing on doing something else for a few minutees instead of opening the choccy bar, crisp packet or making a huge sandwhich full of fattening goodies.

And by the way ..thank you all for your kind words of support for me
ps I dont do the exercise whilst anyone is looking, they would think I was a basket case

I was told one of the biggest causes of sciatica was overexertion, while you and I seem to suffer from the butt cheek pains, my husband had sciatica last year and instead of resting straight away he kept on and was then in bed for two months and off work for three.

    Please be careful[grouphug]

I have had hysterics all day thinking about it, I had visions of ladies ( & men ) in supermarkets, up and down the country, all stood by the chocolate shelves doing the ritual tapping and humming and the staff/security guards thinking that the aliens have landed.
