Julie - well done honey thats great news, you can make it a stone if you keep going[msnwink]
Sally - don't you dare talk of giving up, you started this off and its your duty to see it through to the end, we need you and you can keep going!!!![msnsmile2]
Liesa - good girl going for a walk!![clap]
Sometimes a change of food or exercise will help re motivate you.
I am doing really well, stuck to it all all week and have continued the treadmill and free weights, doing much more ruuning than powerwalking and it is really working, my middle has really toned as have my legs, but my problem area is my tummy and you would not believe how much flatter it is.
My trainer friend told me back in Jan that I would not start to see changes until I had been doing my training for 6 days a week for 6-9 weeks and its true to his word I am now reaping the benefits, its as if my body has kicked in to gear and I really feel like my met rate has increased as Im getting more hungry (trainer said that would happen) and I would have to start eating a bit more of the right stuff as I continue training at this pace. Still having porridge for breakie, just had chicken breast on bed of lettace with some homemade dressing, going to have some fruit now, and fish for tea. I feel like a we oiled machine LOL!!!!
I hope to enter a 10k run next spring so for me this is now for life. The whole family are eating more healthy too, particulaly the children, I have always been into eating right we have always tried to avoid additives etc, but this has meant I have fine tuned it[msnwink]
So come on my OV friends, no slacking, no dropping down a gear, lets go for it OK??

OK, I'm back into the right frame of mind[msnsmile2]
Been to do my shoppping and once again only healthy stuff.
I seem to spend alot more money than I used to, not cheap this healthy eating[msnwink].
Have a good weekend and heres to next week.
Lucy, I wish I was on that plane, even if it was 2 hours late. Too cold here for me.
Well done Sally, that's the right way to think. Told you we could cheer you up!!!

Julie,
I only do the core ball exercises that Chris the trainer has shown me, but when you run your stomach muscles automatically tence and pull in - when have you ever seen a runner with a fat tummy LOL!!
Im not super fit but I think will be at the end of all this, I have the athletic build Im 5'7" tall and have broad shoulders so I have the right basic shape its just cover in a layer of fat LOL!!
Not bad for my age though[msnwink]
P.S Just did 60 mins on my treadmill!!!
Come on everybody-
it seems we are at that "hitting the wall" stage, where we are just stopping - INCLUDING ME. So we just have to have our little treats every now and then (curry for me tonight BUT going to gym tomorrow).
I agree with everyone else - EXERCISE!! We all slow down as we get older but we have to be positive. the hardest thing is GOING to the gym, once you are there it is easier.
Liesa - I want you to inspire everyone else by doing more exercise then telling us!!Start off with a little, then work your way up. As you are walking/cycling/running make sure you think of what you want to look like, then press on when you think you are going to give up.
Also read/listen to music/watch TV as you are doing it. It is soooo much easier.
come on girls and Trev.
Next week I want everyone to put on the forum what they have actually done physically. I think this will make us all compare and spur most of us on and do more!
Does everyone else agree?
Michele
[clap][clap][clap][clap]defo more positiveness from me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(is there such a word it dosent look right?)[grouphug][grouphug][grouphug][grouphug]
Liesa
Michele,
I do agree, I don't think I could do much more exercise than I already do[sporty][sporty][sporty]
Hi
I don't usually post on this topic, but I am so fed up with my own efforts! I don't have much to lose, but about6lbs have crept on around Christmas[msnembarrased]and as we are going to Florida in March(Yeahhh!) I have been making great efforts to lose the extra.
For the last 3 weeks I have tried to eat really healthily; exercised daily(50-60 mins) and have lost just 1 1/2lbs! I thought I haven't been weighed weekly and expected to have lost at least 4 lbs. I feel disheartened and don'tknow what else to do. I was on the point of giving up, but reading about everybody else's efforts is spurring me on.
