LIESA,
WHY NOT JUST GO OUT FOR A WALK - GET RID OF THAT COLD FIRST THOUGH - ITS EASY AND ITS FREE, WE TEND TO FORGET WALKING. EVEN IF ITS COLD OUT WRAP UP HAT SCARF ETC AND OFF YOU GO.WALK THE NEIGHBOURS DOG.WALK DOWN THE SHOPS FOR A PAPER OR SOME FRUIT. BYE THE TIME THE ENDORPHINS KICK IN TO YOUR BRAIN YOU'LL BE FEELING WELL PLEASED WITH YOURSELF

Liesa I think Trevlad is right, although you are busy doing all those things you are not doing any formal exercise - and it makes a big difference. I was like you and thought I was doing so much but once you do some timed formal exercise and raise the heart rate you will see a big difference. I would get a heart rate monitor like one of these....

you only need the cheapest, get some proper trainers and start by power walking, the heart monitor will tell you how much you have raised your heart rate and you increase it very very gradually ( depending on your knees) and maybe get a pedometer too!!![msnwink]

I seem to be struggling now[msnsad].

First few weeks the weight was coming off, now I'm at a stand still.

I have got to get motivated again but feeling cheesed off at the moment.

i know the feeling sally, but i have a heavy cold at the moment and something has gone in the bottom of me back but the knee is greatly improved so as soon as the cold is shifting will be doing some "power walking" and other bits nothing to strenuos!!!
i know something is happening to my body cos i can almost run up and down the stairs now!!! and have taken to drinking my water again so am doing the stairs very often!!!!!
come on sally!!!!! we mustnt give up!!!!!!!!!!!!
i want to be able to change channels on the seat of the plane without having to virtually stand up!!!!!![msnwink]

I must start to drink more water. I did at the start but keep forgetting. When I want a drink I just have tea.

Just got back from walking to school. Going is slow with a 10 year old walking at snails pace but I try and walk fast on the way back to burn off some calories.

Liesa, hope your back and cold improves. I'm very vary of doing too much that may hurt my back, have had a problem for the last 9 years with it and have to be careful.

I WILL NOT GIVE UP, I WANT TO BE SLIM[8D].
I WANT TO LOOK NICE RATHER THAN A LUMP.
I WILL PICK MYSELF UP AND DO THIS

Sally - you mustn't give up - all that we said to Liesa earlier in the week also applies to you. You have done lots of good already and have lost weight and inches. If you keep going I am sure the weight will start to come off again.
And if you need cheering up there is always someone here to do that [msnwink] [grouphug]

Liesa - hope your cold gets better soon, and your back. I have suffered with sciatica over the years as well as my broken cocyx and try to be careful what exercises I do. But in over 2 years at the gym I haven't suffered too much with it [msnsmile2]

I am so so pleased with myself this morning - despite my really naughty weekend last week and not being able to go to gym much this week cos of snow I have lost 2 lbs [msnsmile2] [msnsmile2]
I think it must even itself out cos last week I'd lost nothing depsite being really good and getting lots of gym work in. Also for us girlies I think our weight varies so much at different times of the month [msnwink] that we must keep looking at the total weight loss rather than each week's gains or losses.

I'm now half way there - my final target was a stone which may be being a bit too hopeful - but have now lost 7 lbs in total [msnsmile2]. Main aim now is to keep this weight off and any more losses are a bonus!

Keep going everyone - [grouphug] [grouphug]

Brilliant Julie, 2 lb[clap][clap]

Well done to anyone I missed [clap][clap]

Julie I'm not going to give up, I have come this far, 1 stone already. My next target is another stone[msnscared].

Thank you all for the encouragement, I need it sometimes.

On wednesday when we had a family weigh in the total so far for all 5 of us is 51 lb.

We have told the girls we will match £ for pound and when we are in Florida they can pick something special to do, something we haven't done before. They have opted for a limo to pick us up from the airport and take us to the villa[msnembarrased]
I had a look at prices and they are about $100 so we are nearly there already. Just got to keep going.
