Mizzy your meals always sound great, do you cook them all from scratch?

    Julie

i only cook from scratch if i have the time and energy

the sticky pork with spring greens was in the jan/feb magazine and it is really nice (you could do this with chicken if you dont eat pork)

i try to cook something new at least once every week so that i dont get bored with what i'm eating so far i haven't had any really bad meals, which is quite surprising as i am fussy when it comes to my food[msnwink]

i do use some ready meals like the chicken in white wine and mushroom sauce is from Iceland and it is really nice
also Tesco do a lovely chicken in tomato and red wine and a chicken in tomato and basil

i could make both of these if i had too, but sometimes i'm too tired and too hungry so i keep a stash of "quick meals" in the fridge/freezer

Leisa are you being a good girl?[msnscared] and where's Fiona she seems very quiet at the moment

Julie, remember last year?? or maybe the end of the one before? when we posted things a little off topic was told off, so we were given the off topic area to say things not directly in reference to florida[msnwink] it was just me being daft and thought better to keep in here when asking how others are? no big deal[grouphug][grouphug][grouphug][grouphug]sorry[msnwink]

I don't think we need to worry on this thread Liesa to be honest[msnwink]

I love the look of the menus in the new SW mag, Chicken Salsa Wtap, Stuffed Pepers, Wild Mushroom Spaghetti lots of yummy things that I like, I will subsitute portk for chicken as I don't eat pork, lamb or beef except occasionally minced[msnwink]

Got some Fry Light Olive Oil today too!

Mizzy I will def join a class soon, I have just paid £2.45 for the mag, mind you its worth every penny[msnwink]

So far today I have had a bowl of Kelloggs Special K Medley, sweet chilli chicken wrap with some grapes, small handful of natural nuts, going to have fresh tuna steak with stir fry veg in a chinese sauce tonight[msnwink]

I am here peeps! Long walk with the hounds this am - not where I meet any creepy characters of course, stayed on the usual place and met usual crowd of other dog-walkers.

Had takeaway chinese last night, but ate loads of rice and veggies, so hopefully not too bad, had been v good the rest of the day and did allow myself a glass of white wine.

Am cooking chinese tonight with beef and green peppers, so will let you know how that tasted.

Made the mistake of buying hot + buns for the family, and guess who has eaten one[V]!! Frozen the other packet (natch it was a BOGOF) and only a couple left which they will eat for breakfast tomorrow. I know I can't resist them so why do I buy them?? Or perhaps let's not look at it that way, let's be positive, allow myself enough syns to have 1 or 2 at the weekend, as long as not dripping in butter should be ok.

Am going to investigate the farm shop tomorrow en route to the gym - DH is golfing and it is going to be a p***-up afterwards so I am collecting him and timing it after my workout. Well that's the theory.

Was reading Ideal Home this afternoon and their little booklet "Storage". Made me feel v guilty as got far too much stuff and need to start having a clear out. So tomorrow I intend to clear out the larder, sort it all out and make it easier for everyone to find things. Won't my halo be shining!

Liesa I don't think you have to worry what you say on here, us commiserating when people feeling poorly is only natural as we are all supporting each other in our slimming efforts.

Am definately changing shape again, but in a strange way. Hips and thighs are firming up and getting smaller, so are bits of the tum but am now left with 2 mini rolls rather than just one large bit. Does this make sense, looked v strange to me last night. I am going to try some exercises specific to the waist and see if that does anything.

Big debate going on today - now tell me folks, do you think I can walk 20 miles or should I just go for 10 on the Ribbon Walk? I have until June to get fit, and could go ask my trainer for walking to be put back onto my gym workout - he took it out as I do so much with the dogs. Rats I forgot to get a pedometer today, need to see how far 20 miles is, I reckon about 6 hours walk, so need to build up doing 2 x morning walk for starters.

Hi everyone...just a quick hello as I,ve been really busy today with one thing or another!

Manage to weigh myself and 2lbs off!!!!! here's to the SW[beer][beer]..thanks Mizzy

Fiona....I once did a 40 mile charity walk (and I was only 18 at the time). It was a long walk and took from 10pm at night until aprox 1pm the following day[msnoo][msneek][msnscared]
There were quite a few stop offs though but I personally would never do that far again. I was stiff for days after!!
Anyway 20 miles is still a very long way but as you say you've got till June to get in shape ( and think of all those calories you'll burn) good luck whichever you choose[msnwink]

Liesa...bought the James Blunt album today....brilliant

May be going off the rails abit tonight[msneek]...going for a curry supper [msnwink]...will go for the tomatoe based one though

    TTFN[msnsmile2]

Thanks Liesa.....another bag of sugar off (as my mum always puts it!!)

..Liesa , don't overdo the decorating otherwise you'll end up suffering with your poor knee...and if you need to do some picking, eat some fruit pieces or nibble carrot sticks or similar!![msnwink]
