Ooh thanks for the link Mizzy, and Julie that is really kind of you, as long as its ok, that would be great to get a copy of the magazine!
Will I be able to substitute for Ozzie products do you think, is there a way of working out the 'syn' values?

Can I have my porridge on both red and green days?[msnsmile2]
Thanks for all your help[grouphug][grouphug][grouphug][grouphug]
I syn my porridge on a red day Julie, but it is only a few. More suggestions for red mains - chilli con carne - little portion of rice, large portion of chilli (low-fat mince etc - syn the kidney beans), salad; spaghetti bolognese - smaller portion of pasta and more meat and have a big salad with it. Fish is good and can be grilled / steamed / cooked in micro and served with small portion of rice / potatoes - new pots have lower syn value, ditto sweet potatoes, large portion of free veggies.
Look out for the super speed fruit and veg - melon and squash off the top of my head.
We had delicious supper - green day, so big portion of rice & stir-fry vegetables (beansprouts, mushrooms, peppers, onions) and chicken fried in sherry & 1/3rd jar of M&S hot chilli sauce, just trying to work out the syn value for that, but 1 jar is doing 3 meals split 3 ways each time, so not that many.
Thanks Fiona!![msnwink]
I am feeling really good about SW, I think if you try something different it makes you re think your meals which makes food more interesting and gives your weight lost a boost - well I hope this works for me [msnwink]

just a quickie porridge oats 28g are an healthy extra on both red and green
on the menu you downloaded it has two of these healthy extras built in for each day so on a red or green this could count as one (the healthy extra are the only foods shown with a weight or measure beside them)
if it is syns it counts as 5 1/2 for 28g porridge oats
if you can get to a class near to you, when you join you will get a really comprehensive book with all the details in for healthy extras etc, you dont have to stay to class and if you decide it's not for you then you would still get to keep all the literature
Paula
