Well count me in. My terrible year last year has resulted in lots of comfort eating.

Problem is I'm off to Florida in two and a half weeks-as if that is ever a problem

It's hard for me to get weighed-being a permamnent wheelchair user-so will just measure myself and go on my clothes and how I look and feel. Measured myself last night-so I now know the shocking news.

I fully endorse SW having lost 2 and a half stone with them 5 and a half years ago when I first got the villa-and realised that if I wanted to be comfortable on the 9 hour flights I needed to shift some of the flab.

In all fairness I held it off for about 4 and a half years-just this year took it's toll.

I found it a very sensible way of eating-I only ever did the red (meat) days as I'm not very good with wheat.

I'm just going to follow the plan-choccie and cake and puddings are my downfall-so by cutting them out that should be a good start.

So with just 16 days to go-it's time to get really focussed.

    Pleased I don't drink alcohol

my "killer chocs" are on top of the fridge in whats commonly known as the goodie box[msnwink]

and orlando babe i totally agree with you about comfort eating i am working at my issues and trying not to swallow the unhappiness
by taking comfort from food i was just getting bigger and this was making me miserable to so i was swapping one unhappiness for another

i really envy those who lose weight at times of stress if that was me i'd be about 7 stone[msneek]

Well everyone seems to be doing pretty well (Leisa, you're just starting late...[msnwink])

    I been bad boy.

Had a quarterpounder with cheese and a medium fries on the way into work I'm ashamed to say, I just couldn't be bothered cooking anything before I left. (It would have been a bacon sarnie anyway I suppose)[msneek]

The 12-8 shift is a killer for me, I have the time to go out running in the morning which is great but I'm too lazy to cook for myself. For lunch in work (5pm), theres only pasties and wraps to microwave [xx(].
I could take sandwich's but I'd rather eat hot food.

Never mind, hopefully, the running, drinking less during the week, and not eating between meals will be enough.

Well ladies and Macka....think I,ve lost a couple of ounces this morning and didn't really have to do anything!!!!....had my hair cut[msncry][msncry] went for a trim but it feels like i've had 4 inches taken off..
...why do hairdresses always go mad when they get a pair of scissors in their hands????..is it because my hair WAS longer than hers or what[msnsad][msnsad]

Anyway I've lost something today at least!![msneek]

Well I'm being very good again today.
Just did a fairly gentle session at the gym last night - but I am going again tonight [sporty]

Macka - why don't you take something healthier than a pasty to work that you can microwave [?]

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I am being so good today-that tape measure was a real shocker. I know quite a bit of it is still water. I get a lot of fluid retention in my legs which hasn't gone down yet-but even so -I know I need to stay on track. If I can't do it for 16 days I have no chance. And so it hasn't come as a complete shock to my system I started cutting down on Christmas Day. So I am ready to go.

Macka- a bacon sarnie on SW would have been fine. Some wholemeal bread (I would normally toast it on one side only) grilled lean bacon with rind cut off. Put the bacon on the untoasted side and just a small smackerel of tomato sauce- Mmmmm I can taste it already.

Tut tut Macka, you should of had a deli sandwich instead.

Trying to be good today, am cooking a lovely stew for dinner, it smells great, more veg than meat in it, will enjoy that later.

    Welcome Orlanobabe[msnsmile2]
