    Hi all!

I have stayed the same for about the 5th week so I need to up the pace next week. To be fair I have run every morning but due to the business I have not been able to do any extra in the afternoon/evening which I feel always give me a boost!

Liesa - I know we have had some DM's but you know you can do this, you have added problems more than the rest of us but you have proved you can do it and you will - food diary sounds good but avoid bananas if you can (Im just being picky) they are the only fruit to avoid as they are high GI (they are good to have just before a run though).

Sally, Anita and Julieanne well done girls that is fab!!

Trev glad to hear you are back to exercising again!!

Food diary for me today is porridge, chicken and chilli wrap - only had half shared it with hubby, and just had a small handful of natural nuts, having a tandori chicken sizzler and salad tonight as its Friday (treat night) Oh and as always I had my Starbucks coffee - tall skinny wet latte to go! I have one every day without fail[msnscared] I just love them!! Oh and loads of water!!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend lets hope the sun stays out cos its been beautiful today - may dust of the b-b-q this weekend!!

May go for some outdoor runs too got to get in training for my 5k race for life[sporty][sporty][sporty][sporty]

    Trev well done!!

As for losing the latte NEVER its is my only vice!!! Its the highlight of my day - sad I know but I would give up lunch rather than my latte besides it skimmed and is only 120 cals and full of calcium as skimmed milk has more calcium than semi or full fat milk[msnwink]

Wondering why you feel tired, sluggish and listless most of the time? Fed up with not achieving the figure you deserve? Working out is not enough... paying careful attention to what you eat is the best way to stay fit, healthy and looking great, says Chris Scragg
We are only as healthy as the foods that we eat, but how healthy really are the foods that are advertised for fat loss? The foods that you put in your mouth construct you. They make every cell in your body, your immune system, your skin, your hair, your nails; they even make the neuro-transmitters that make your thoughts and your emotions. Each and every second we produce 2 million new red blood cells, and you have to ask yourself what are you making them from? If you really strive for long-term safe and effective fat loss, you have to have vitality and health; then and only then will the aesthetics you desire follow.
Say no to sweeteners If your body is toxic from chemicals, additives and stress hormones from bad blood sugar handling due to artificial sweeteners, then your body will actually store more fat! And the shocking fact is that all of the above are in the majority of fat-loss products that are advertised as
health foods! Believe me, there is nothing healthy about aspartame, phospherous, food flavourings or food colourings. There are 49 chemicals that make up some strawberry milkshakes!! 49! So those of you out there thinking about that slimming shake, should perhaps think before you drink! Food colourings and additives are very common causes of food intolerances in the body, which can lead to a catastrophe of knock-on effects. Artificial sweeteners such as aspartame account for over 75 per cent of the adverse food reactions to food additives reported to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). A few of the 90 different symptoms documented in the report as being caused by aspartame include: headaches/migraines, seizures, nausea, numbness, spasms, weight gain, rashes, fatigue, insomnia, vision problems, depression, anxiety attacks and joint pain. In addition to this, Aspartame at 1020 converts to wood alcohol (formaldehyde) - this neuro toxic chemical is used to embalm dead bodies! So feel free to drink a sports drink containing an artificial sweetener like aspartame before you train, as chances are your body temperatu re will rise and you will have a neuro toxic chemical circulating around your body. Legally, the FDA passed through Government a paper stating that food additives below a certain level do not have to be put on our food labels!! How many of you out there want to put a toxic, carcinogenic, under researched chemical in your body in any amounts? This is the stuff that kills laboratory rats, but it doesn't have to be on our food labels! What is scary is that we are drinking and eating these chemicals on a daily basis.
Cut the chemicals Each year, the average Britain is
eating over 141bs in dry weight of chemical additives. These toxins stress our livers, adrenal glands, immune system and affect many with intolerances and digestive
issues of the small and large intestine, and the colon. It is worth remembering that 90 per cent of disease originates in the colon! An inflamed bloated stomach will also shut down your lower abdominals,
and these are the main stabilisers of the lower back! So the foods we eat can and will cause back pain and certainly affect our exercise regimes. What is also
of concern is the amount of over-the-counter fat-loss products that contain hormones and metabolic stimulators.
Our hormonal system is the most complicated chemistry set imaginable, and yet many of us feel we know enough about it to disrupt it with various stimulants that have been advertised by a fit-looking person in an advert. Start messing with your hormones and you will cause huge problems in the body, all in the name of losing a little weight! Look for health and vitality. Clense the stressed liver and ensure your digestion is working effectively and you will be on the way to losing your weight safely, while increasing your lifespan, not decreasing
